As a Functional Patterns Practitioner, I am skilled in training my clients in a system that can take you to that next level in your athletic performance, learn to have correct posture and keep you out of pain... all in one place.

It begins with muscle and fascia release work, coupled with how to maintain correct posture. Then it moves into multiplane movement patterns.

Hi, I'm Steve Zekic. I am a Functional Patterns Human Body Foundations Practitioner, working out of the Penrith area. I mainly use the Functional Patterns methodology for getting my clients results.

I want to be a useful and productive member of our community with thriving and vibrant health for as long as a can.... and this must start with how I move.... with intention. This is why I use this methodology now as it targets the specific, not a cookie cutter approach.

If you want an abundant life, you must be strong with solid foundations, so let's go on that journey together.

WE BEGIN OUR SESSIONS WITH A STEP BY STEP PROCESS:

1. Myofascial Release Techniques (MFR)
- Promote hydration of muscles, decompression of the spine and joints, and release restrictions and adhesions that are common in causing pain in the body.
- Release restrictions in prelude to map out new fascia/muscle associations/connections/chains.

2. Corrective Exercise
Correcting standing and moving posture to bring the body back into alignment using corrective and foundational exercises.
This is where we biomechanically integrate the body by synchronizing new fascia/muscle chains and sling systems that are not moving the body optimally.

3. Dynamic Movement
Start learning the foundation of dynamic movement. This will put together an outstanding movement pattern, that will create new connections which
helps with every day movement for the Man and Woman.

4. Multi Planar Ballistic Patterns
With a new level of agility, strength, balance and physical awareness, we will level up to multi plane dynamic and powerful functional movement
patterns, using an abundance of tools to test and take those connections further.

FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT
Men and Women use rotational loading onto the muscles in all aspects of the activities we do in life. This makes 4 dimensional personal training so integral to leveling up your athletic performance. It codes in the movement patterns at a foundational level, to prevent injury with what life may throw at it. This includes sports and any other unforeseeable circumstance.

We all do an array of tasks like; taking care of the kids, digging a trench, playing soccer... add infinitum... let's move in a way that will create a more bulletproof body that can attack these activities with precision and confidence.
Functional Patterns is the way to help you do that.
POSTURE TRAINING
Posture training is the key that unlocks this methodology of training so it can thrive. It will create balance, reduce pain and inflammation and help you move in a more optimal way as you progress in life.

 LIFESTYLE, MOVEMENT & GOAL SETTING SESSION - 90 MINSIn this 1 on 1 face to face session, we will have an in depth discussion of where you are at in terms of your movement, your lifestyle and where you realistically would like to get to. We will also discuss all current or past pains and injuries.

This session involves a posture assessment with photos and a gait analysis through video which will be conducted on a treadmill (walking or running depending on what is best suited for where you are at). There is also an activity analysis which can also be videoed depending on the sport or activity that you are wanting to refine and improve on.

We will then continue on to myofascial release techniques using medicine balls, lacrosse balls, massage canes, rolling pins and tennis balls. This will ensure that any adhesions in the fascia and muscles get a fast track start to becoming more efficient, less painful, hydrated and operating in a trouble free fashion.

If your body is up to it, we will then progress onto some corrective exercise techniques. This will start the training aspect of our methodology.

SESSION COST - $140
 1 ON 1 PT SESSION - 60 MINSFollowing the initial session will be 1 on 1 personal training that runs for 60 minutes a session. We will begin to build on corrective techniques, focusing on posture, core strength and glute strength; the 3 pillars of good posture. While we build on these, we will develop strength, stability, body awareness, power, balance, coordination and aesthetics and a better mood will definitely come along as a bi-product of training in a more efficient way.

Insured and qualified professionalHi, I'm Steve Zekic. I am a Functional Patterns Human Body Foundation Practitioner. I have been in the fitness industry as a personal trainer for 15 years. Prior to that I was into; soccor, rock climbing, rugby league, AFL, running, mountain bike riding, and martial arts.

Starting out working in gyms in the local Penrith area, I immersed myself heavily in the crossfit realm. I trained in that system myself and so did my clients. I soon found myself starting my own crossfit gym in Penrith; Nepean CrossFit. I owned that for 5 years until I sold it. I learned a lot, made loads of friends and trained a lot of men, women, kids and teens. But that method had a huge downside to it and it affected my state of mind and my body. By the end I was broken.

I took a year off and came back into the fitness industry and that's when I found functional patterns. I started training with Sebastin Coello from FP Sydney and that is when I started to undo all the damage that I did to my body.

I now train mostly pain free. I still need another year or two to fully bulletproof my body and mind, but now I have the code and I am moving closer towards that every day. 

I plan to keep studying and progressing with the FP way, as I see this as the industry standard and the best way for me to train my clients and myself.
