Founded in 1980 by local families, NATO creates an environment where people living with a disability can flourish and grow. We also value the families and carers and the vital role they play in supporting people with disabilities. She has been a Board member for 15 years and is dedicated to helping NATO thrive in supporting people with a disability. Rhonda is a mighty support for people with disability and carers, ensuring that their voices are heard. Our programs recognize the importance of family, friends and the community the people who make a significant difference in life. Inspiring believing in our vision, seeking to change attitudes and make our community a better place for all citizens. NATO was developed by local families who came together with a common goal of improving social and economic opportunities for their children with disabilities. More than 30 years later, we’re still as passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of people with a disability and their families. That’s why we have become such a trusted disability service provider in our local community. However We can only do what we do with your support! NATO’s Fundraising Committee is a little but passionate group of staff and community representatives who reach together every month to labor on fund raising events that contribute to the quality of our services and supports. For years we’ve tried to fit her into the available disability services, but they could never confront her unique needs.
